Asashi pres. Ferry Corsten at Play Club @ The Roof … insane turn out … I took this photo at around 10pm.
I have to say that Ferry Corsten, like most “trance” DJs nowadays, have moved away from the trademark cheesy synth breakdown/ethereal vocal sound that I hate so much. It was nice to hear him drop some good bootlegs of Fatboy Slim and other “housier” items.
Play Club is really shaping up as the go-to destination for partying in Petaling Jaya!
I’m at the awesome Signature @ The Roof for a late night business meeting.
The Roof is one of my favorite entertainment destinations in Kuala Lumpur as they have everything under one “roof” hehe … There’s a fabulous restaurant, a sports bar, a whisky bar, a club and a champagne bar with an unrestricted 360° panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur.
I really love the Wagyu Rib-Eye (RM138/USD42++) @ Signature and I highly recommend it if you come here!

For those who don’t know, the late American actor Paul Newman was the penultimate Rolex Daytona ambassador. It is said that he wore a Daytona every single day from 1972 (a gift from his wife when he took up motor racing) till his death in 2008.
Since then, the Daytona has steadily built up a cult following, and is now considered one of the Holy Grails of watch aficionados everywhere.
The original Daytonas were not really in demand when they launched in 1961, and were relatively inexpensive. Somewhere along the way the hype built up and last year Christie’s auction house sold a 1969 Daytona for over a million US dollars.
Not bad for a watch that was originally sold for USD210!
Here’s another shot of the incredible all-carbon Bulletproof Automotive demo car, from owner Ben Schaffer on the floor of Autocon Los Angeles. And true to Ben/Bulletproof’s style, it’s the first Overtake Japan kit in the US.
