This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done … putting together the opening weekend activities for the launch of Fast 6 in Malaysia … it was an incredible experience and of course a great honour to be allowed to create a genuine “Fast & Furious” experience for Malaysian fans of the franchise.
Movie-goers who watched Fast 6 on opening weekend where we were could register for a ride in one of two cars (one was mine, the other was Wan’s awesome RWD Satria) … Everyone had a super good time, some of my friends like Remus Chang, Erwin Azizi, Blue Jackets, Tengku Djan and Adrian Cham also lent out some of their precious cars for display.
It truly was an epic event (every show was sold out on opening weekend) and I’d like to thank United International Pictures and the Summit KL for choosing to work with me and my team.
This is my all-time favorite T from DC Shoes … Back when Ken Block was still driving for Subaru … DC sent me other colors of the SRTUSA shirt but my good friend Steve bought this for me when he was in the US at the time … Which means I have every color of the SRTUSA x Ken Block T … That’s what friends are for!
The kicks I’m wearing are a Not For Sale/Friends & Family ultra-limited pair from DC Shoes designed by the legendary Hommy Diaz … Only 43 pairs ever made – 43 is Ken Block’s racing number.
(btw I’m at the workshop on Monday morning coz one of my side skirts is coming off … Driving too hard I guess)
My favorite anime series Initial D has officially ended … This is the anime that has inspired and motivated car guys all around the world and made the price of a 31 year-old car skyrocket all over the world is over … And what is the last car that we see Takumi-kun driving once he’s done with his 86?
This Subaru Impreza was the one that Petter Solberg won the 2003 World Rally Championship in, and for me this was the last great car of the WRC (which is why I bought my Impreza) … I didn’t really like the Version 9 that came after then the Citroëns started dominating and they are definitely the most boring cars ever … after Subaru quit the WRC I didn’t even bother following it anymore.
