Thanks Ipoh, It’s Been Real!

Thanks Ipoh, It's Been Real!

The Peugeot Butterworth x Foodsion Magazine Cari Makan Road Trip was a complete success!

Ate LOADS of INCREDIBLE food and made LOTS of new friends – seriously made me look at Ipoh in a while new light.

1000000x better than all my previous trips to Ipoh combined.

Thank you Bryan, Alvin, Fabian and Win Win from Foodsion for giving me so many taste explosions over the past few days and thank you to Peugeot Butterworth for sponsoring such lovely cars for us to drive!

My favorite restaurant of the whole trip has to have been the SIPET AMAZING Hoong Tho – I already miss the food there so much!

IPOH I WILL BE BACK KEKEKEKE

One part of the 208 GTi that I must highlight is the display. It’s beautiful. It’s high-tech and futuristic-looking but without being overboard or tacky. It really is a work of art and gorgeous to look at.

I have been mesmerized by the display for days!

208 GTi

Without a doubt, the 208 GTi is a stunner.

I parked the car in front of Straits Quay and got out to take a few photos … Almost immediately people started gathering around the car to take photos and ask questions about it.

Bet you wouldn’t get that kind of response if you were driving a Fiesta hehe …

One of the things that immediately grabbed me (and still continues to attract me) about the 208 GTi is the gearshift.

The gearknob itself is a work of art and the gear throw is very deliberate, which will make driving enthusiasts very, very happy.

More to come!

Super special thanks to Peugeot Butterworth (CS Euro Auto) for letting me have their 30th Anniversary-inspired 208 GTi to play with for a couple of days.

I haven’t looked THIS forward to driving a car in a very long time.

Look forward to lots of photos of this gorgeous supermini and my impressions over the next few days!

Throwback/Fast 6 Movie Launch/Kuala Lumpur

Throwback/Fast 6 Movie Launch/Kuala Lumpur

I am always at my most peaceful when I put my helmet on.

All other sounds are shut out, I feel cocooned in a totally different world with no distractions and I am able to focus fully on driving.

This is one of the reasons I love racing so much … the track is one of the few places where I can truly find peace but feel excited at the same time.

Muscles

Muscles

One of my favorite things about the GD Impreza is how the doors kinda tuck in near the bottom so the wheels stick out … It’s a li’l “Rocket Bunny” w/out having to cut fenders.

I also love the shape of the fenders and the way it bulges out above the wheel … It gives me a feeling that the car has muscles all over it. Hehe

Throwback/Fast 6 Movie Launch/Kuala Lumpur

This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done … putting together the opening weekend activities for the launch of Fast 6 in Malaysia … it was an incredible experience and of course a great honour to be allowed to create a genuine “Fast & Furious” experience for Malaysian fans of the franchise.

Movie-goers who watched Fast 6 on opening weekend where we were could register for a ride in one of two cars (one was mine, the other was Wan’s awesome RWD Satria) … Everyone had a super good time, some of my friends like Remus Chang, Erwin Azizi, Blue Jackets, Tengku Djan and Adrian Cham also lent out some of their precious cars for display.

It truly was an epic event (every show was sold out on opening weekend) and I’d like to thank United International Pictures and the Summit KL for choosing to work with me and my team.
