Here is a very informative video showing the different speeds of 4 generations of iPhones.

The 2G is running OS3.13

The 3G is running OS3.12

The 3GS is running OS4.01

The 4 is running OS4

If you have a 2G or 3G iPhone, my recommendation is DO NOT upgrade to OS4 because your phone will slow down so much that it will become almost unusable!

If you are thinking of buying an iPhone 4, my advice is to wait a bit till Apple comes up with a solution to the “death-grip” problem (i.e. if you hold the phone in a certain way cell reception is hampered)

And for fuck’s sake – it’s called an iPhone 4 and NOT iPhone 4G.
