Ippudo Listens To Good Advice

Ippudo Listens To Good Advice

Had a meeting with Ippudo Malaysia about 2 months ago to discuss marketing possibilities and I extolled the virtues of a properly run Instagram account. Glad they listened to my advice and set one up!

There are a lot of companies who see Instagram & Facebook as some sort of trend and they want to get in on it, but more often than not, they don’t really understand how these new media communication tools should be used. Ippudo has many franchises around the world (New York, Sydney, Hong Kong & Singapore to name a few) but none of them have properly run Instagram accounts, which is a shame, because a large part of Instagram’s appeal is food sharing/food hunting.

I did provide them with a few guidelines about how to properly engage consumers through Instagram so now let’s see if they can do it properly.

Curry Mee

Curry Mee

This Curry Mee from a stall at New World Park is one of my favorite Curry Mees in Penang.

But you have to be careful because there are two Curry Mee stalls at NWP.

The other one is absolutely disgusting and I don’t know how they can still be in business. (Maybe preying on the misconception/assumption that all Curry Mees in Penang are created equal?)

This one is right opposite the fruit stall in the middle. The shit one is near the entrance  from the car park.

Don’t mix them up!

Char Koay Teow

Char Koay Teow

This Char Koay Teow is from New World Park in Swatow Lane.

I would classify it as slightly above average and there’s no way I would go specifically to NWP to eat this, but there’s so much other food at NWP that if I have guests/friends in town, I take them there so they can sample most of Penang’s hawker food in one shot.

I’m lazy like that.

Sue me.
